Q. Will my company really save money by having my
applications hosted?
A. Yes. When the costs of creating a fully redundant computer
network system in your office are compared to the costs of simply
hosting it by the user, the upfront and maintenance costs are
significantly lower.
Q. What kind of companies is the hosted model geared fit
for?
A. Small to medium sized businesses are the best fit for
the Northarbour hosted solution. We ensure that each
client has very focused support as they are setup in their own,
secure environment.
Q. Which types of companies stand to save the most
money?
A. Any companies that wish to use the latest technology or would
like to grow at a fast rate without adding complexity to their
business model are the companies that enjoy the most savings.
Q. What happens if we have a disaster?
A. 43% of businesses that have a disaster never
reopen! 93% that lose connection to their Server Room for
multiple days close within 1 year. Northarbour helps ensure
your business stays open and smoothly running.
Q. How long can the data centre stay online after losing
power?
A. Depending on total load, the data centre can stay powered using
the diesel powered generators for more than a week.
Q. How do your servers receive power?
A. Northarbour's hosting package servers are directly connected to
the backbone of the data centre. This is the cleanest and
safest power and reduces the strain on the servers.
Q. Can I get my own backup at my office?
A. Yes. We offer backup packages that can send tapes or DVDs to
your office. A popular option is a continuous data protection
package where a storage device is located at your office and a
complete copy of all of your data is backed every single
second!
Q. How long does it take?
A. It only takes a couple of days. One week prior to launch we
train you how to use the service. The transfer is typically
scheduled for a Friday. We make a back up of all of your data
and complete the process over the weekend so when you come in on
Monday the service is live and ready for you business to use.
