Microsoft Education Open provides volume-based pricing for education institutions with two or more desktops. The Open license agreement gives you the right to copy Microsoft software products covered by the agreement and allows you to distribute them throughout your establishment.

How it works

This programme offers eligible institutions two licensing options:

Open Standard: a solution structured to provide customers with the most straightforward licensing. It provides a single price point and a minimum order level of five licenses in any combination of products and product types. Customers may reorder with a minimum of one license.

Open Volume: this option is targeted at customers wishing to commit to larger upfront license purchases.

Products are split into three pools:

• Applications
• Servers
• Systems

Each product is given a point value. The total number of points for the product required are added up and this determines the discount pricing level the customer will achieve. There is an initial minimum order value of 150 points.

Once you have a legal copy of each software application, you will only need to pay for extra licenses as and when you need them.

Open License Upgrade Agreement

The benefit of adding Upgrade Advantage to your agreement is that you will receive the latest versions of our software as it released.
