The web is a fast changing place and even large web search
engines such as Google don't even know of half of it... So,
how are you going to keep your students and staff safe from web
sites that content harmful material?
Using it's networking expertise, Northarbour has developed two
internet filtering solutions to meet the needs of education bodies,
and individual schools.
Internet Content Filtering - Hosted
Northarbour manages the hardware and software. Your Web-based
traffic is routed to the Northarbour server to be filtered.
Your organisation has access to a Web-based interface that gives
you complete control over your organisation's content filtering
configuration.
The service runs on the Northarbour network. Upon
activation, your organisation's router(s) is configured to direct
all Web traffic (port 80) to Northarbour Content Filtering
servers. Schools then manage their own filtering
profiles and policies.
Internet Content Filtering - Non-Hosted
With Northarbour's Non-Hosted Internet Content Filtering
service, the filtering hardware and software are located on the
Client's network - Northarbour provides the
necessary hardware, software and implementation support to
bring the service online.
This configuration allows the organisation to have complete
control over the service, and receive access to full reporting and
configuration capabilities.
